Our Father

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Angel of God

Angel of God, my Guardian dear,
to whom His love commits me here,
ever this day, be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.

Morning Offering

O Jesus, through the most Pure Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, and sufferings of this day: for all the intentions of thy Divine heart, in the Holy Mass.
Amen.

Grace before meals

Bless us, O Lord, and these your gifts, which we are about to receive from your bounty. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

Prayer for the sick

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed.
Amen

Prayer for the forgiveness of sins

O Lord, Jesus Christ, Redeemer and Saviour, forgive my sins, just as You forgave Peter’s denial and those who crucified You. Count not my transgressions, but, rather, my tears of repentance. Remember not my iniquities, but, more especially, my sorrow for the offenses I have committed against You. I long to be true to Your Word, and pray that You will love me and come to make Your dwelling place within me. I promise to give You praise and glory in love and in service all the days of my life.
Amen

A Prayer for peace in times of sickness

O Lord, Jesus Christ, Divine Healer, grant me peace of mind and perfect trust in You in my time of distress. Give me control over my fears. Grant that I may be cooperative and patient with Your Will, trusting that You will restore me to full health.

A parent’s prayer for their children

O Heavenly Father, I commend my children unto Thee. Be Thou their God and Father; and mercifully supply whatever is wanting in me through frailty or negligence. Strengthen them to overcome the corruptions of the world, to resist all solicitations to evil, whether from within or without; and deliver them from the secret snares of the enemy. Pour Thy grace into their hearts, and confirm and multiply in them the gifts of Thy Holy Spirit, that they may daily grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ; and so, faithfully serving Thee here, may come to rejoice in Thy presence hereafter.
Amen

Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin.

I Pray Today

I pray today for pious thoughts.
That I may be Your hands, your feet and above all
Your mouth to speak.

I pray no evil can intervene.
That I may help those in need, in pain and most of all
the non-religious and infirm.

I pray today for humility.
That I may be strong in faith, love and most of all
have perseverance in this path.

I pray today for discernment.
That I may know what to do, say and most of all
to not lose my way.

I pray today for all the fruits of the Spirit.
That I may have for my sins true repentance and most of all
patience, peace and acceptance.
